Fire and Rain “Live” is a heartfelt tribute to the timeless music and enduring legacy of James Taylor and Carole King — inspired by the historic reunion concerts they performed together at the legendary Troubadour in November 2007.
Created to celebrate the Troubadour’s 50th anniversary, the intimate three-night, six-show run reunited Taylor and King with their original band members — Danny Kortchmar (guitar), Leland Sklar (bass), and Russ Kunkel (drums) — and captured the warmth, musicianship, storytelling, and chemistry that made their music so enduring. Those unforgettable performances later inspired their acclaimed 2010 Troubadour Reunion Tour.
Fire and Rain “Live” Tribute was created to capture the spirit of those legendary performances and bring that same feeling of connection, nostalgia, and musical excellence to audiences everywhere.
Featuring rich harmonies, heartfelt storytelling, and faithful recreations of classic songs including Fire and Rain, You’ve Got a Friend, Up on the Roof, It’s Too Late, Carolina in My Mind, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, and many more, the show transports audiences back to the golden era of singer-songwriter music.
More than a tribute concert, Fire and Rain “Live” is a celebration of songs that have become part of the soundtrack of our lives — music that continues to inspire generations with honesty, warmth, and unforgettable melodies.
Whether performing in theaters, festivals, outdoor concerts, or intimate venues, Fire and Rain “Live” delivers an evening of timeless music, shared memories, and the enduring spirit of two legendary artists.
